Moore Released (Collective Yawn)

July 19, 2013

The A’s released Scott Moore yesterday and by today he already had signed (and played a game with) his new club the Triple-A Tucson Padres. Moore was signed on a minor-league deal and unlike other players like Brandon Moss who were of use to the A’s, he was not. In 80 games with Sacramento playing third base he hit .276/.361/.478 for a .369 wOBA and 118 wRC+. In his 339 plate appearances he had 11 home runs to help fuel a strong .201 ISO. Moore really isn’t someone worth worrying about, no news here.
