Casper Wells Dealt to the White Sox

April 29, 2013

Casper Wells has been traded to the Chicago White Sox for cash considerations. Apparently upon acquiring him Billy Beane warned him that if DFA’d he would hurry along the process to not keep him sitting at home and he has done just that. One day after being DFA’d the A’s have shipped him to Chicago’s South Side in exchange for the oft-traded “cash considerations” – which is just what Wells was traded for when acquired from Toronto, maybe Toronto can just forward the check along. Wells’ tenure with Oakland was a short one as he went 0-for-5 in three games including one start.
