Update from PHX: March 22/Recap: A’s @ Reds Game 25

March 22, 2013
  • The A’s and White Sox drew to a 4-4 tie today at Phoenix Municipal Stadium at the first night game of the spring at Phoenix Muni.
  • Josh Reddick sprained his ankle in today’s matchup planting his foot incorrectly in the 2nd inning in the field. He is listed as day-to-day. There doesn’t seem to be any serious concern regarding his condition which is a good thing. Despite the clogged outfield situation Reddick is a significant and key piece of this team both in terms of chemistry and his on-the-field performance.
  • Trotting out against the White Sox today was this lineup: Coco Crisp CF, Scott Sizemore 2B, Reddick RF, Yoenis Cespedes DH, Chris Young LF, Derek Norris C, Brandon Moss 1B, Hiroyuki Nakajima SS, Adam Rosales 3B. Jarrod Parker got the start and had an incredible outing not surrendering a baserunner until he walked Conor Gillaspie in the fifth inning. On the day he went six innings, allowing two earned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out five. Chris Resop, Pedro Figueroa (who would blow the A’s lead) and Pat Neshek rounded out the A’s pitching in this one.
